Neural Response to Risky Decision Making in Youth at High Risk for Substance Use Disorders and HIV

Study Overview
The purpose of this study is to understand more about what leads some children to develop drug addiction as they grow older.
Study Description
The purpose of this study is to understand more about what leads some children to make potentially dangerous, risky decisions as they grow older. We want to carefully study their behavior and scan their brains in a brain scanner (magnetic resonance imager or MRI). We will compare the children at risk with a group of typically developing children to understand more about the brain’s basis for making risky decisions.
