Overview
The researchers want to understand mentrual health and menstrual symptoms among young women with the goal to support menstrual symptom management among women.
Description
If a person is eligible and decides to participate, they will fill out online questionnaires and come to the IUPUI campus for 3 study visits.
Participants will receive a total payment of $110 for completing the study. Parking costs related to study visits will be covered.
Eligibility
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions:
Healthy, Painful Menstruation

Age: Between 14 Years - 24 Years

Gender: Female
Inclusion Criteria
Regular menstrual cycles (24-38 days) for the 3-month period preceding enrollment;
In good general health; and
Have has menstrual periods for at least 2 years
Exclusion Criteria
Pregnancy or lactation;
Diagnosed with endometriosis, uterine fibroids, polycystic ovary syndrome, or pelvic inflammatory diseases;
Diagnosed with chronic abdominal pain including irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease;
Use of hormonal or non-hormonal intrauterine devices without hormonal release within 30 days;
Use of any hormonal contraceptives within 3 months;
Use of any systemic antibiotic within 3 months; and
Use of any systemic or vaginal anti-fungal treatment within 3 months.
