Overview

The purpose of this study is to validate a computer controlled electronic device as a tool for assessing power in trained swimmers.

Description

The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding about swimming power. More specifically, we will be measuring peak power of competitive swimmers with a computer-controlled, electronic device and compare that to a more conventional, widely-used form of swimming resistance training.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    healthy
  • Age: Between 18 Years - 24 Years
  • Gender: All

Inclusion Criteria
Healthy individuals
Trained, competitive swimmers
Exclusion Criteria
Any indication of cardiopulmonary disease


Additional Information:
This study take place in Bloomington, IN and is only recruiting students at IU Bloomington.

Participants will not be paid for their participation.
