Overview

The purpose of this study is to determine how consistently and reliably people are able to distinguish among levels of pain they experience in order to improve the treatment of pain.

The purpose of this study is to determine how consistently and reliably people are able to distinguish among levels of pain they experience in order to improve the treatment of pain.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    healthy
  • Age: Between 18 Years - 40 Years
  • Gender: All

Exclusion Criteria
Chronic cardiovascular disease: myocardial infarction, peripheral arterial disease, stroke, angina, atrial fibrillation, chronic heart failure, have undergone a revascularization procedure
Metabolic disease: diabetes mellitus (types 1 and 2), renal or liver disease
Neurological disease
Serious psychiatric conditions or hospitalization within the preceding year for psychiatric illness
Chronic opioid use
Current use of narcotics
Current use of tobacco products
Uncontrolled hypertension
Additional Information:
Participants will not be paid for their participation.
