Analysis of Rhinologic and Olfactory Outcomes in Patients Testing Positive for COVID-19

Overview

The purpose of this study is to understand what the symptoms of patients that get COVID-19 are like at first and then how these symptoms change with time. We hope that by understanding these specific symptoms that patients with COVID-19 can be identified earlier and potentially treated earlier as well.

Description

Participants will complete a test called the UPSIT (University of Pennsylvania Smell Identification Test) when joining the study and again after 6 months. Participants will also complete online surveys every 3 months for 2 years.

Researchers will review participant medical records.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    COVID-19
  • Age: Between 18 Years - 100 Years
  • Gender: All

Individuals at least 18 years of age who have undergone testing for COVID-19 at IU Health or Eskenazi.
