Telemedicine for Pediatric Sickle Cell Patients in Medically Underserved Areas

Study Overview

The purpose of this study is to learn more about how the use of two different types of telemedicine (distance medical care) can address barriers to receiving comprehensive sickle cell care, and whether care can be improved.

Study Description

Participants will complete telemedicine visits in a nearby office or from home, and complete surveys following each visit. Participants may also be asked to complete interviews with researchers. Participants will receive a $25 gift card for each interview completed, as well as a $15 gift card for each questionnaire (up to 12 within a 1-2 year period).
