Verbal Learning and Memory in Post-lingually Deaf Adults Following Cochlear Implantation
We are interested in how hearing affects learning and memory in adults ages 62-85 with normal hearing and in adults with Cochlear Implants.
Thank you for your interest in this work; the purpose of this study is to assess learning and memory in both adults with normal hearing and adults with cochlear implants after profound hearing loss in adulthood. For this single session study, you will have the opportunity to complete questionnaires, computer modules, and listening activities to demonstrate your verbal learning and memory.
Please expect to spend two and a half to three hours with the researcher on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday morning.
This study takes place in Indianapolis, IN on the IUPUI campus.
Participants will be paid for their participation.
We are extremely grateful for your interest, and hope to hear from you soon!
