Overview
This study will investigate the perception of regional dialects including listeners' abilities to classify the dialects into groups and rate speakers from various dialect regions in a language attitudes task.

This study will investigate the perception of regional dialects including listeners' abilities to classify the dialect into groups and rate speakers from various dialect regions in a language attitudes task.
Eligibility
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

healthy

Age: Between 18 Years - 24 Years

Gender: All
Inclusion Criteria
Listeners must be monolingual speakers of English who are neurotypical.
They all must have normal hearing and be between the ages of 18 - 24.
Exclusion Criteria
If participants are bilingual or if they fail the hearing screening, they will be excluded.

This study takes place in Bloomington and is recruiting from the IU Bloomington campus and the Bloomington community.
Participants will be paid for their participation.
