Overview
The purpose of this study is to determine how it is that people with different language experiences perceive speech sounds spoken by different people in different contexts. It also seeks to determine how people's language experience affects how they produce these sounds as well.
Description
The proposed study examines how speakers of one language perceive sounds in a second language with which they have limited experience, as well as how such speakers produce the same sounds when they acquire this second language.

Inclusion Criteria
Must be native speakers of specific languages being targeted by specific experiments, including Chinese, Spanish, French, Korean, Japanese, and English.

This study takes place in Bloomington, IN.
Participants will be paid for their participation.
