Overview

The purpose of this study is to examine how sensory processing, cognitive abilities, and aging are related.

Description

The purpose of this study is to help determine whether cognitive or functional decline in older adults is mediated by declines in sensory processing (hearing and vision).

Eligibility

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Healthy
  • Age: - 100 Years
  • Gender: All

Inclusion Criteria
Must be living independently at home
Middle-aged and above
Exclusion Criteria
Indication of a medically or surgically treatable ear-related condition
Fluctuating or rapidly progressive hearing loss or vision loss
Currently taking Cisplatin for cancer or life-saving Mycin antibiotics
Have multiple sclerosis, Meniere's disease, or epilepsy that can be triggered by flickering visual stimuli
English is not native language
