Overview
The Caregiver Outcomes of Alzheimer's Disease Screening (COADS) research team wants to know if early detection of memory problems helps older adults and family members to feel more prepared or less stressed.
The purpose of this study is to learn more about the benefits of routine screening for brain health and how it affects older adults and their family.
This study is seeking volunteers with no diagnosis of dementia who receive their primary care from IU Health or Eskenazi Health.
Description
Participants will complete a series of five phone surveys over the course of 24 months
- Each survey will take 20-25 minutes to complete.
- Interviews can be in person or over the phone at a time that works best for you.
- Participants will be compensation with a $20 Kroger gift card after each interview.
Eligibility
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Age: Between 65 Years - 100 Years

Gender: All
Additional criteria
- Do not have a history of memory problems
- Have a family member that is able to participate in the study with you
- Receive primary care from IU Health or Eskenazi Health
