Overview

The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between aversive stimuli and drinking behavior.

Description

The purpose of this study is to pilot an adaptation our Progressive Ration intravenous alcohol self-administration paradigm, aimed at quantifying impairment of control over alcohol seeking behavior. The proposed modification is to add an aversive, punishing stimulus present only during alcohol seeking behavior.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Healthy,healthy
  • Age: Between 21 Years - 40 Years
  • Gender: All

Inclusion Criteria
In good general health
Exclusion Criteria
Currently pregnant or breastfeeding
Diagnosed with HIV or hepatitis C
