Overview

The purpose of this study is to help scientists to study glaucoma.

Description

Researchers will collect participants' age, sex, race, and diagnosis.
For glaucoma patients, the aqueous humor (a fluid that fills the eye) and trabecular meshwork tissues (a tissue that controls pressure in the eye) routinely removed in glaucoma surgeries to lower eye pressure will be collected instead of discarded after surgeries.
For catarct patients, the aqueous humor (a fluid that fills the eye) routinely removed in catarct surgeries will be collected instead of discarded after surgeries.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Glaucoma, Cataract
  • Age: Between 18 Years - 100 Years
  • Gender: All

Individuals at least 18 years of age with open angle glaucoma or cataract(s).
Individuals with ocular tumors or uveitis will not be eligible.
Women who are pregnant will not be eligible.
