Older Adults Needed For Remote Interview Study!

Overview

ARE YOU 60 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER?  Help researchers learn more about ways to help improve independence and quality of life for seniors experiencing cognitive challenges!

Researchers at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Purdue University are inviting older adults to take part in a study to better understand the daily challenges that older adults experience due to a cognitive impairment.

We are inviting older adults (ages 60+) who are experiencing cognitive difficulties (issues with memory, concentration, or decision making) due to mild cognitive impairment, traumatic brain injury, or stroke to participate.

The study is completed remotely over Zoom and involves an interview and completing questionnaires and tasks - NO IN-PERSON VISITS ARE REQUIRED.

Description

What is involved if I participate?
In this study, you are being asked to complete two research sessions online using videoconferencing (e.g., Zoom):
  1. In-depth Interview session (1-2 hours): In this session, you will interviewed about challenges you experience with daily activities (medication management, transportation, etc.). In addition, strategies and technologies you use to meet those challenges will be discussed.
  2. Assessment Battery session (1-2 hours): In this session, you will complete surveys, questionnaires, and a small number of cognitive tasks.
**These study sessions can be completed on the same day or separate days depending on your
preference.

Will I be compensated?
You will receive up to $60 for completing all of the study requirements via Amazon E-Code or an alternative method upon request.
