Overview

What is this study about?
Our team in the Department of Psychiatry at IU School of Medicine is working to develop a tool to help therapists make better decisions about when to use telehealth with youth and family. To help guide this work, we are interested in learning more about how clinicians currently use telehealth in their clinical practice. We are currently conducting interviews with therapists and clinicians to gain insight and perspectives on current practices and key decision points in determining the appropriate use of teletherapy.

Informationhis study will be used to help clinicians understand patient experiences with teletherapy and use teletherapy to best help children and adolescents with their mental health concerns.

Who can take part?
Mental health clinicians and therapists who use telehealth to provide therapy services to youth and families. 

Description

What happens during study participation?
  • Complete a 1-hr interview through Zoom or in-person at Riley PCC about your experiences engaging in teletherapy. 
  • At the end, we will ask you if you are willing to be contacted to participate in future research studies conducted by our team on the topic. 
  • We will makevideo and audio recordings of the interview that will occur via ZoomHealth, so being on camera will be required.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    all
  • Age: Between 18 Years - 100 Years
  • Gender: All

Inclusion Criteria:
  • Mental health clinician or therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, HSPP) who provides teletherapy to youth and families
  • Licensed at masters or doctoral level
