Overview

The purpose of this study is to understand how adverse experiences during childhood affect health throughout a person’s life, specifically pain after surgery.

Description

Participants will be asked to complete a short survey before surgery. Researchers will look at patient health information after the surgery to learn about the patient's health after the surgery.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    adverse childhood experiences, ACE
  • Age: - 100 Years
  • Gender: Female

Inclusion Criteria:
  • undergoing minimally invasive hysterectomies for benign indications
  • speak English or Spanish
Exclusion Criteria:
  • pregnant
  • incarcerated
  • concomitant incontinence or pelvic floor procedures
