Primary Investigator

Overview

The purpose of this study is to determine if certain molecules in the bloodstream can be used to improve our ability to predict the development of a nonunion or unhealed bone or fracture related infection.  This study is looking at many molecules and we will determine if the levels of certain molecules in the bloodstream correlate to whether someone develops a nonunion or fracture related infection.

Description

Participants will have blood drawn for the research study when they are hospitalized for their injuries. Participants will have blood drawn for the study during follow-up visits or surgery to treat the injury.
